Bespoke event dressing to suit the most special of occasions

WONDERLAND WEDDING

When Gemma & Paul approached us with the theme of "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" for their wedding we let our imagination run wild.

The venue lent itself to the theme so well and we were delighted to be given the opportunity to decorate the entire grounds! Here are a few photos that highlight what we did - from hiding hundreds of white rabbits in the grounds and creating a "down the rabbit hole experience" by filling an entire orchid with decorations suspended from trees to making some truly show stoppingly spectacular centrepieces, a cake stand never to be forgotten and generally just having a load of fun with the idea!

CENTERPIECES

The centrepiece pictured here features the Mad Hatter etched into frosted acrylic, framed to give the appearance of a mirror or looking glass. It's then mounted on a teapot and cups in homage to the famous tea party scene.

DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE

The Garden at Crook Hall is a huge, scrolling series of differently sized, shaped and themed spaces. It was crying out for a "follow the white rabbit" treasure hunt with added non-sense direction signs thrown in for good measure!

CHESHIRE CAT

The Cheshire Cat was a major theme in the decor. He made several (partial) appearances throughout the day before appearing in his entirety for the speeches. In this piece we combined him with the looking glass theme to place by a swing...

SIGNAGE

Playing cards incorporating the couples initials, a Queen of Hearts theme and a general sense of fun were used to welcome guests, signpost rooms, seating plans and the Order of the Day.

WINTER WONDERLAND

After dressing a number of weddings at Crook Hall & Gardens, the venue themselves approached us to get involved in rejuvenating their massively popular Winter Wonderland event - an event which sees hundreds of children visit the Hall and meet Santa - no pressure then!

They commissioned a full scale Santa's Sleigh complete with reindeer, a thousand ready-to-paint Christmas tree decorations to keep children busy in the elves workshop and Frosty the Snowman signage. It was such a hit that we've been involved every year since and been asked to make sleighs for shopping centres, Christmas Markets and even a Music Festival!

SANTA'S SLEIGH

Santa's Sleigh was the centrepiece to Crook Halls outdoor wonderland throughout their Christmas events, providing a brilliant photo opportunity for excited children and adults alike!

FROSTIE THE SNOWMAN

The Gardens at Crook Hall are very large, and can be a bit of a maze! So these Frostie the Snowman signs were commissioned to clearly direct visitors to the magical Santa's Grotto located inside the Manor House, while adding a bit of fun and whimsy!

MAGIC & MUGGLES

Crook Hall wanted something magical for their Harry Potter inspired afternoon tea event. Not surprisingly, the event sold out in advance and expectations were high. They wanted different sections of the hall to each have its own district feel. We had a lot of fun with this one!

THE FIREPLACES

Crook Hall has some truly stunning fireplaces which lend themselves very nicely to recreating key moments from the story - like Sirius Black appearing in the Gryffindor common room!

RECREATING HOGWARTS

Each section of the house had a different feel - from the Gryffindor Common Room to the Potions room. Touches like house shields, scarves and broomsticks really helped create that "special magic".

ALL ABOARD

Platform 9 3/4 plays such an important role in the story it would have been rude not to reference it! This room had a full scale painting of the "Crook Hall Express", platform signs and luggage.

WEDDING DECORATION AND DRESSING

We're lucky to have played a part in many couple's special day. From designing fridge magnet Save the Dates ahead of the big day to Memory Boxes to help cherish memories long after it everything in between. We've made hand painted signage, personalised wedding dress hangers, unique alternative guest books and so much more.

If you're planning a wedding and are looking for a one stop service that can offer full venue dressing or you're just after a truly bespoke wedding favour then please get in touch.

GHOST ORCHID BRIDE

Offering modern brides an extra-ordinary bridal boutique experience, Ghost Orchid Bride required something extra special for their shop window dressing and Tiny Acorn delivered in style.

MALIN & MAC

Tiny Acorn designed and produced a range of bespoke signage for Durham based Gift Shop, Malin & Mac. The project called for 3d logos, woodcut decoration and wall mounted signs, all contributing to it being labelled "Durham's most instagramable shop"

THE WILDLIFE

Arguably the most distinctive bar in the country, The Wildlife in Nottingham didn't want anything "off the shelf" or "ordinary" when it came to their signage. Tiny Acorn took the brief and devised a truly bespoke illuminated option that captures the attention of all revellers on a night out in the city.

TEAM SOLAN CONNOR FAWCETT FAMILY CANCER TRUST

A charity close to our hearts, we've partnered with them many times over the years - be it producing merchandise to be sold in the boutiques and at events, providing props and dressing for events or trophies for awards dinners, we love working with Mark and the team.
